Kuan Yin Temple
Kuan Yin Teng, or Temple of the Goddess of Mercy, is one of the oldest temple ever built in Penang. It is located along Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, formerly Pitt Street. The temple honours Kuan Yin, a devout Buddhist who was said to have attained the coveted state of Nirvana but had chosen, instead to remain on earth in order to provide guidance and help to those who are themselves striving to reach Nirvana.
The Kuan Yin Teng offers the best experience of seeing a Taoist temple in action. It is one of the busiest temples within the Inner City of George Town. There are beautiful architectures like the dragon-entwined pillars, carved from a type of green stone, which support the temple's high roof, and the statue of Kuan Yin, located in an inner chamber.

Kapitan Keling Mosque, Penang
I am not too sure if non-Muslims are allowed in the mosque grounds.
Below are some info of the Kapitan Keling Mosque:
The Kapitan Keling Mosque is Penang’s first-ever mosque built in the 19th century. This is the largest historic mosque in George Town, founded around 1800. A monumental structure surrounded by low walls and crowned with Moghul-style copper domes, the mosque was named after the head of the Indian Muslim community back then, Cauder Maydin Merican. It was originally built as a rectangular building with verandahs and a hipped roof and had been enlarged several times. British architects commissioned by the Muslim and Hindu Endowments Board gave the mosque its British Moghul Revival appearance in 1916.

Fort Cornwallis, Penang
Fort Cornwallis is an old star-shaped fort located on the northeastern coast of Penang, Malaysia. It is named after Charles Cornwallis, the Governor General of India. Fort Cornwallis is one of the most well-known & most visited landmarks in Penang.
This historical attraction now houses a tourist information kiosk, a cafĂ©, and open-air amphitheatre, a history gallery, a souvenir centre and tour guides to show visitors around and provide them with a peek into the fortress’ history. The fortress’ 10-feet walls are laid out in the shape of a star, and within those walls, some of the original structures built over a century ago can still be seen – a chapel, some prison cells, ammunition storage area, a harbour light, the original flagstaff and some old bronze cannons, which includes the infamous 17th-century Dutch cannon.

Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang
The construction of the temple began in 1890 and was inspired by the chief monk of the Goddess of Mercy Temple at Pitt Street. With the support of the consular representative of China in Penang, the project received the sanction of the Manchu Emperor Guangxu, who bestowed a tablet and gift of 70,000 volumes of the Imperial Edition of the Buddhist Sutras.
There is an inclined lift to carry pilgrims and visitors further uphill. On the elevated platform, you can find a pond filled with Koi and the towering statue of Kuan Yin. The 30.2m bronze statue of the Kuan Yin was completed and opened to public on year 2002. The rambling temple consists of many prayer halls, pagodas, bell towers and just about every other typical temple structure you can think of, in varying styles from Burmese to Chinese to Thai. However, two structures dominate the scenery, especially when the temple is seen from afar. One is the seven storey pagoda which dates from the temple's founding. The other is a huge bronze statue of the Goddess of Mercy, Kuan Yin.
